Nintendo Switch OLED White

Nintendo Switch OLED

Although I’ve always enjoyed gaming, I definitely consider myself just a casual gamer. I grew up in the 90’s playing the now classics such as GoldenEye 007 and Mario Kart on the Nintendo64. I remember getting the Pokémon Yellow: Special Pikachu Edition Gameboy Color for Christmas after it was released in 1998 and playing Pokémon relentlessly on every car ride, even sneaking it into grade school with me occasionally. I can also remember begging my dad every weekend to drive me to the local Blockbuster store to rent PlayStation games in the early 2000’s.

Even in my adult life, I find myself still seeking out new games to play, on occasion, and keeping up with what’s happening in the gaming world. So many people love gaming because it provides a form of escapism and allows players to immerse themselves in a different world with different characters and storylines. It offers a sense of accomplishment and reward, whether it be through completing levels, unlocking achievements, or beating high scores. Gaming provides a way to socialize, connect with others, and so much more.

I recently acquired the Nintendo Switch OLED, launched on October 8, 2021. This is the fourth iteration of Nintendo’s home console and so far I have really enjoyed it. For those contemplating the purchase, I’ve written the overview below.
